Cover the Styrofoam heart with a very thin layer of piping gel for adhesive. Use a bare hand to finish spreading the gel, and to remove excess from the surface. Roll out a sheet of pink rolled fondant to a thickness of 1/8 inch. Carefully lay the fondant over the heart, smoothing it first with bare hands and then with fondant smoothers. Trim the excess fondant with a pizza cutter, leaving 1/4 to 1/2 inch extra around the edge.
Susan Suggests: Depending upon your work surface, a small amount of powdered sugar should be sprinkled beneath the fondant before rolling. Turn the fondant 90-degrees after every second or third roll to prevent sticking.
