Step 12 Add a yellow duck on the outer edge of the pond with tip #8 and yellow buttercream. Holding the bag at a 45-degree angle, build up the icing with the tip above the surface of the cake. Hold steady pressure as the tip is pulled away, then slowly release the pressure on the bag and lift the tip up to form the tapered tail. Pipe a ball on top of the duck's body with steady pressure. Completely release the pressure on the bag and pull the tip straight out of the icing to compete the head.
